Last year’s 45th anniversary contest received many wonderful entries. We are pleased to announce a brand-new photo contest this year!

[Entry Period and Content]

We will accept entries from March 28 to December 25, 2025.
Photos must be taken in 2025.
*Photos taken before 2025 will not be eligible.

12 selected works will be featured in an original calendar.

Entry Period: March 28 – December 25, 2025 (*For print entries, submissions must arrive by December 25.)
Subject: Photos taken at any of the flower events held at the four Sera Kogen Farm Group gardens, or at Sera Kogen Candle Night. (Landscapes, portraits, close-ups of flowers, etc. – various perspectives are welcome.)

Eligible events: Sera Kogen Farm (Sakura Festival, Tulip Festival, Sunflower Festival, Dahlia & Garden Mum Festival), Flower Village Kamu no Sato (Moss Phlox & Nemophila Hill, Hydrangea & Hollyhock Hill, Heavenly Blue Hill, Kochia & Cosmos Hill), Sora no Hanabatake – Sera Kogen Hana no Mori (Rose & Flower Garden [Early Summer/Autumn], Sera Kogen Candle Night), Sera Wisteria Garden (Wisteria & Lupine Festival).

[Announcement and Calendar Production]

Judging will be conducted by judges appointed by the organizer.

Announcement of Results: 12 winning photos (1 per month) will be announced in February 2026 on the official website and Instagram accounts: @serakogenfarm, @kamunosato, @serahananomori, @serafujipark, and @serakogen_staff.
*Winners will be contacted via the email address provided in the entry form or print application. Please ensure you can receive messages from info@sera.ne.jp.

Calendar Production: The 12 selected works will be compiled into an original calendar.
Each featured photographer will receive a free copy. Calendars will also be sold at farm shops and in the online store.

[How to Enter]

*This contest is separate from the “Hanahapi 2025” Instagram Photo Contest. Instagram entries are not accepted for this contest.
*You may submit the same photo to both contests, but only one contest will select the same photo.

Example 1: If Photo A wins a prize in Hanahapi 2025, it will not be selected in this contest.
Example 2: If Photo A is submitted to Hanahapi and Photo B to this contest, both could be selected.

Method 1: Submit via the official contest entry form

There is no limit to the number of entries, but only one prize will be awarded per person.

*Please submit JPEG images over 2MB, retouched, and without logos or signatures. RAW data submissions are not accepted.

Step ②: Fill in the required information and choose one of the following methods to submit:
(A) Recommended: Use a web service like GigaFile (URL submission) (B) Upload your entry directly to the form

Step ③: For method (A), paste the download URL into the form. For method (B), upload the file directly. Click “Submit” and once you see the confirmation screen, your entry is complete.

Method 2: Submit by Print

・There is no limit to the number of entries, but only one prize will be awarded per person.

・Use glossy photo paper (plain copy paper is not allowed).

・Sizes accepted: 4S (254mm × 305mm), Wide 4S (254mm × 365mm), or A4 (210mm × 297mm)

*Even if you submit by print, digital data will be required if your work is selected.
Submitted data must be over 2MB, retouched, and free of logos or signatures.
RAW files are not accepted.

・Fill out the entry form and tape it to the back of the photo (do not use glue as it may damage the print).
Send it to the address below. Printing and mailing costs are the responsibility of the applicant.

・Only residents of Japan with a domestic shipping address are eligible.
・Entrants must agree to allow their photo and name to be published in the calendar.
・Incomplete entry forms or missing information may disqualify your entry.
・Works that have won awards in other contests or are owned in part or in whole by third parties (individuals, companies, organizations) are not eligible.
